Accessibility statement

The Franconian Tourist Board strives to make this website accessible in accordance with the Bavarian E-Government Regulation (BayEGovV) and Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament.

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.frankentourismus.com.

Compatibility status with requirements

The website is largely compatible with the requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 (Level AA).

However, the following restrictions apply (non-accessible content):

  • Navigation: Navigation links are available, but there is no separate sitemap.
  • Texts: The website does not provide any content in easy-to-read language.
  • Images and graphics: Not all images included on the website currently have meaningful alternative text. These will be added gradually. Teaser images cannot be provided with ALT text. In addition, texts are also integrated directly into image files, for example in the event calendar.
  • Buttons and links: Not all buttons or links are labelled. In some cases, the control sizes in the mobile application are insufficient.
  • Contrasts: Not all pages have sufficient colour contrast.
  • Videos: Some videos are still available without subtitles or audio descriptions. Accessible post-processing is being carried out step by step.
  • Audio files: There are no sign language alternatives for audio content. The description is usually brief and does not provide a comprehensive summary of the content.
  • Map displays cannot be made available in accordance with accessibility requirements.
  • PDF documents: Not all PDF documents provided on the website are designed to be accessible. The most important information from these documents is usually accessible in accessible HTML form on the website.
  • Online brochures are not accessible.
  • Reminder list: When using the reminder list, restrictions may occur with individual screen readers.
  • External booking systems (e.g. for accommodation or bookable experiences): These services are provided by third parties and are currently not fully accessible. For information and bookings, we are happy to offer personal assistance on phone +49 911 94151 0.

This content is temporarily exempted in accordance with Article 5 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament, as its full accessible implementation would currently represent a disproportionate burden.
