Christmas flair under the mighty Plassenburg castle.

Kulmbach knows how to get you into the Christmas spirit: With a romantic Advent market on historical streets, a “winter village” and winter brews.

Kulmbach in Advent” includes several venues: The Kulmbach Advent market is located on the streets of the Oberhacken area surrounded by historical buildings. Artists and craftsmen such as wood turners, wool spinners, sculptors, and lace makers show off their trade at the Burggut. Furthermore, there is the “Advent Market at the Old Villa” at the Schiessgraben with a variety of offerings as well.

Also, at the end of October, the “Winter Village” opens on the Kulmbach market square. Stay warm, even during cold temperatures, by enjoying the great food offered here and the many celebrations throughout the end of the year.

Kulmbach is known as the “secret beer capital” for good reasons. So, of course, you can look forward to seasonal brews, such as a Christmas beer, a gingerbread beer and the legendary ice bock. (more information about Franconian Beer)
